Katonah Gaelic Football Club Kicks-Off Spring Season
 
Program open to girls and boys ages 5 to 14

  Dear Setanta:
 
  Today was a great day for Setanta. The U8’s performed incredibly today, winning Setanta’s very first championship at the
  Rockland County Denis McHugh Tournament. In sweltering heat the U8’s had to win an incredible five games in order to
  claim first place. They accomplished this feat with relentless offense and an impenetrable defense. Setanta dominated each
  game played from start to finish. Congratulations to all. It was an incredible sight to see.
 
  Not to be outdone by their younger teammates the U10’s took the field in the afternoon to play the Rockland U10’s, the same
  team that narrowly defeated us in our last game of the season. This time, however, the result was different. Our determined team
  went all out from start to finish, dominating the first half with incredible offensive play. Rockland came back strong in the
  second half however Setanta’s defense was able to hold them off. In the end, it was Setanta by a goal. Setanta’s play
  was described as outstanding - - by the Rockland coach! Congratulations.
 
  Continental Youth Championships ("CYC")  
  From July 29th to August 1st, there is the Continental Youth Championships ("CYC") in Eisenhower Park, Long Island, NY. It’s a
  four day Gaelic football tournamentwith teams from around the country. We would like to enter a U8 and/or U10 team. We have
  a number of children already committed to go. The CYC has organized blocks of rooms at favorable rates at several area hotels
  for those who would like to stay over. Once we have an exact number of registrants, we will be able to give you specific details. If
  your child is interested in playing, please let me know this week via email as we need to start the registration process. If you have
  a U12 or U14 player who is interested in playing we can combine with other teams as well. Check out the CYC website at

  Gaelic Football Day Camp (Cul Camp)  
  Rockland County is again hosting a Gaelic football day camp (Cul Camp) from July 12th-16th, 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the
  Rockland County Gaelic Football field. Our kids went to it last year and had a great time. A few of the Setanta families have already
  signed up. If you are interested you can sign up at http://www.rocklandgaa.com/. Let me know if your kids are going so we can
  arrange car pooling.
 
  Setanta Merchandise  
  Several people have asked about Setanta merchandise. Please fill in enclosed order form and give it to one of the coaches at a
  game or practice and we'll place the order. Thank you.

  If you have not already done so, please fill out the enclosed forms as well as two photos and a copy of the birth certificate for
  each child.
